IPv6のサイトローカルアドレスを無設定(zeroconf)でステートレスに自動割り当てする枠組を提案する。当該セグメントに最初接続されたルータが、そのセグメントのリーダとなって、16bitのsubnet ID部分をランダムに選んだプレフィックスを生成する。アドレスのサイト内での一意性を保証するために、RIPngを拡張したプレフィックスアドレス重複の検出方法を示す。重複が検出されると直ちにセグメントリーダヘ通知され、 IPv6のアドレス付替の仕組を用いて新たなアドレスへの付替が行われる。We propose a new framework for stateless auto-configuration of IPv6 site-local addresses with "zero configuration."
