    <p>C60の磁化率はグラファイトと比較して極めて小さい。sp3のみからなるダイヤモンドのそれに近い。1990年代にR.C.HaddonによりC60中の五員環と六員環におけるリングカレントの相殺でその小さい磁化率は説明され、長年信じられてきた。講演者は以前よりリングカレントに依る解釈に疑問を抱いており、今回再考することでリングカレントでは説明できないこと、及び新たな解釈に依り上手く説明できることを実験、理論計算に依り見出した。</p>

    <p>Injection laser diodes pumped with current are employed in various areas such as communications, measurement, and optical disks. However, lasers with various tunable wavelengths are not easy to fabricate. Organic semiconductor lasers where organic semiconductors are used as an active layer for lasing will enable the development of lasers with flexible and multicolor wavelengths that cannot be realized with inorganic lasers because of the high degree of freedom of materials for design. Our research group has been targeting current-injection organic semiconducting lasers based on an organic single-crystal field-effect transistor structure. Here we report our recent progress and show the gain-narrowing of the electrical luminescent spectra associated with laser oscillation.</p>
