The purpose of this study is to create a glossary concerning product concept and to evaluate it. 568 concept terms were derived from books, design guidelines, and design checklists. They were classified into 30 categories and structured into four classes. Resemblances of concrete terms were calculated by the pair comparison method in accordance to their affinity. Industrial Designers evaluated the "concept glossary" using a questionnaire from viewpoint of usability.

The purpose of this study is to create a glossary concerning product concept and to evaluate it. 568 concept terms were derived from books, design guidelines, and design checklists. They were classified into 30 categories and structured into four classes from aspect of "synonym" and "same purpose". Resemblances of concrete terms were calculated by the pair comparison method in accordance to their affinity. Industrial Designers evaluated the "concept glossary" using a questionnaire from viewpoint of usability. As a result, most designers recognized its usefulness.
