We developed star learning environment with magnetic sensors. This environment has three functions. First function is star name teller. When a learner point out a star with the sensor on his/her finger top, the system tells him/her name of the star and constellation with voice. Then, second function is star navigator. If the learner know the name of a star, but he/she does not know where it is in the real sky, the system shows the path from current pointing position to the target star. Third function is constellation tutor. We developed guidance and diagnosis function of constellations' shapes with Wii remote controller.

To provide an environment helpful to make a picture is one of important research subjects in order to make our life rich spiritually. We have been developing an environment for basic sketch learning. Because basic sketching is considered as training for realistic representation, we consider that novices' sketches can be evaluated with comparison of the sketches and the portrayed objects. The proposed environment aids users in learning a basic sketch using real pencils and drawing paper. We adopted the three step method of drawing: outline, half tone, and three grades of light and shade. After drawing, coloring applies. The prototype system deals with a sketch in each step. The input data to the system are a motif data set and an image of user's sketch. The output is advice to the user. The previous system can process pencil drawing of a tumbler and a plate. We are expanding the target to colored sketches of fruits. The current system gives advice on sketches of simple fruits motifs. The proposed system would be useful not only for the support of self-educated novices but also for the auxiliary role of teachers in mass schooling.

Skill knowledge is important human knowledge as well as symbolic knowledge. Definition of skill knowledge is knowledge on high level technique that human acquire through repeated training. Skill knowledge is needed for arts, sports and crafts. It concerns human body structure, muscles, and joints. Also, skill knowledge concerns process of human interaction with objects, namely, recognition and action. There are many researches on learning support system for describable knowledge, such as mathematics, physics, grammar, etc. However, there is few pieces of research on learning support system for skill such as arts and sports. This paper analyses skills and generalize skill features. Then we describe problems to diagnose skill errors. After that, we introduce a learning support system for sketch as an example of a skill learning support environment.
